              Your questions, answered:

Which is the best way to reach Capri?

You can purchase a ticket to take a regular ferry or a hydrofoil, choosing from diverse ferry companies from Naples, Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi. For more flexibility and comfort, you can contact Paolo for a private transfer via gozzo or speedboat.

The boat tours and trips are private?

Yes, all boat tours and trips are private. Once you’ve booked, you’ll have the boat all to yourself!

              Where is the meeting point?

At the entrance of the tourist port. At the Marina of Capri near the check-point. Paolo will meet you there to begin your tour.

              Are reservations required?

Yes, there is only one boat so you must reserve in advance. However, you are welcome to contact Paolo for a last-minute tour and he will do his best to accommodate you!

What do I need to bring on board?

Just your swim suit and sun block! On board you will find clean towels, water, soft drinks, beer, homemade limoncello, goggles, floats, and everything else you need for an amazing adventure at sea.

Can Paolo give us information about visiting the Blue Grotto?

Of course! The Blue Grotto is one of the most famous sights on Capri, and is a breathtaking, one-of-a-kind sea cave. It’s important to note, however, that the queue to visit can get very long, so please let Paolo know in advance if you are interested in visiting so he can schedule your day accordingly. Two hours isn’t enough time to visit the Grotto and tour the island, so if you are planning on visiting the Blue Grotto, it’s best to book a three, four, or seven hour boat tour. Entrance tickets to the Blue Grotto must be purchased separately, and cost €18 per person. The Grotto opens around 9 am, when the staff arrives at the entrance of the cave to confirm that it is open for the day, as sea and weather conditions are not always favorable and some days the Grotto remains closed for safety reasons.

What happens if there is bad weather?

Paolo will keep you updated on the sailing conditions. Sometimes the day begins with inclement weather or rain on Capri, but later the sun comes out and it’s a beautiful day. If the inclement weather continues into the day, the tour can be cancelled at no charge.

How much time does it take to sail around the island of Capri?

It takes at least two hours if you want to sail the entire island and stop for a swim, but if you would also like to visit the Blue Grotto, you will need to book at least a 3, 4 or 7 hour tour. Distrust boat tour providers that promise you a visit to the Blue Grotto within a 2 hour tour. The longer the tour, the more time you’ll have to explore the island and the higher the chances of visiting the Blue Grotto, especially in high season.

Do I need to pay a deposit for the tour?

Absolutely not! Paolo believes that your choice to discover Capri, Italy by sea with him is guarantee enough. He will take your credit card details to confirm your bookig, but you will not be charged. Only in cases of no-show will clients be charged a penalty.

              How can I pay?

You can pay on board either in cash or by credit card. Alternatively, if you prefer, you can also pay via wire transfer.

Are there seaside restaurants where we can stop for lunch if we have booked a full-day tour?

Yes, there are a number of excellent seaside restaurants on Capri that we can sail to. Let Paolo know ahead of time and he will take care of booking a table for you.
